A lecuture/demonstration including a short introduction, ways the AT has affected Elizabeth and her students lives and a demonstration of the hands-on process.

Spirit, Mind and Body: Holisitc Health Fair

Water the Garden and Tend to Yourself: The Alexander Technique and caring for your body while gardening

January 16th, Wednesday 7pm Location to be determined Sponsored by The Connecticut Center for the Alexander Technique, LLC and the Windham Garden Club, Willimantic, CT

 

GROUP CLASSES

All levels welcome. Each class will include relaxation, exercises to promote ease in movement and good coordination of the whole self.

Wednesday evenings 7-8pm on-going in six week sessions

Location:  Community School of the Arts, Mansfield

Class size limit:  12. Register early. CSA 860-486-1073

Cost:  $90

Bring: A mat and wear loose fitting comfortable clothing.

Fall session I: Begins September 12- October 17

Find support for good posture and freedom of movement. discover how you were designed to move, and how good improved posture feels. Some parts of your body should support you while other parts should move you through space and perform tasks.

Fall session II: Begins November 7- December 12

Learn how to sit at your desk or in your car. Optimize the health benefits of walking by strengthening your back. Walk naturally upright with relaxed shoulders and flexible legs.

Spring session I: Begins January 30- March 5

Breathing coordination and speaking. Learn exercises to develop movement of the diaphragm and improve the exchange of air. Use breath flow to fuel sound from speaking to singing.

Spring session II: Begins March 19- April 23

Improve your performance coordination. All of us perform everyday whether it is teaching a lesson in class or performing on stage. Enjoy the physical rigors of life with a body that is in tune and agile.

 

Gift Certificates

Give the gift of Alexander Technique lessons. Gift certificates can be purchased for an individual lesson(s) or for a six week group class at the Community School of the Arts in Mansfield. Call 860-944-4731and have a beautiful gift certificate sent to you.

Radio interview

Bruce and Hannah Clements have a radio show every Tuesday evening at 5:30pm called Neighborhood. It can be found at WILI 1400 AM. They interview "good neighbors". Watch for an interview with Elizabeth Huebner talking about the Alexander Technique.
